Nitriding Department

Strengthening of Elterma’s position as a prime manufacturer of heat treatment equipment is made possible by the implementation of new technologies. The concept of a company in that field is related mainly with the gas nitriding technologies and other similar technologies, such as nitrosulfurizing and ferritic nitrocarburizing.

The commercial promotion of the above mentioned technologies is conducted by Elterma’s Nitriding Division being a part of Batch Furnace Division. The Nitriding Department was established on April 1, 2008 as a result of Seco/Warwick Group Poland’s decision concerning the transfer of the whole nitriding equipment production to Elterma. Currently, the main products of the Nitriding Division are: pit furnaces VVT type and horizontal furnaces VTR type. This year’s plans of a new nitriding team, apart from the promotion of nitriding technologies, includes the realization of several pit furnaces, mainly on order of a Canadian company Nitrex.
