Elterma in 3D

One of many changes being currently introduced in Elterma, is a modernization of the equipment designing process.

Since June 2007, Elterma has been implementing a 3D design system based on SolidWorks Office Premium 2008 program, which enables the direct designing in a 3D design space. It facilitates a proper understanding between a design engineer and a performer, enabling time savings and avoiding mistakes. In order to check the engineer assumptions in reality, a simulation can be carried out. The program also has a special module for management of design documentation circulation and its archiving (PDM). That module has currently been intensively implemented. With the use of SolidWorks, projects have already been created.

The benefits from implementing this system are multiple. Thanks to the great quantity and quality of tools and modules, SolidWorks perfectly supports the work of today’s design engineers. The program creates a possibility to exchange files with many CAD/CAM/CAE applications, facilitating the cooperation among the design teams. An opportunity to use the integrated engineer calculation module is another facilitation during the design stage. Visualizations and animations can be created by means of specialized modules. It significantly facilitates the equipment assembly in Production Departments. With regard to the wide functionality and many application opportunities, Elterma’s equipment will be manufactured mainly on the basis of 3D SolidWorks.
