ELTERMA has recently installed and commissioned furnaces for heat treatment shop in Slovakia

At the beginning of 2008, ELTERMA has installed and commissioned furnaces and auxiliary equipment that feature a heat treatment shop for a Slovakian manufacturer of rolling bearings. The contract as placed at ELTERMA included the delivery of both a roller hearth furnace system, ARE-100 type, and pit furnaces, PEGat furnace type.

A high-volume continuous furnace system, ARE-100 type is dedicated for preheating before hardening, further press hardening as well as tempering of the bearing rings. The furnace system, ARE-100 consists of the following equipment:

• Electrical roller hearth hardening furnace, PHRE-100
• Washing-drying equipment, LUA-1000
• Electrical roller hearth tempering furnace, PORE-100
• Controls system

The technological system of the pit furnaces are used for rings and rollers carburizing up to effective layer depth of even 5. 5 mm. The equipment as follows is:

• Electrical retort pit furnace, PEGAT-1000/15x25
• Electrical retort pit furnace, PEGAT-1000/12x25
• Salt tank, WHS-15x25
• Washing machine, MKV2-15x25
• Electrical pit furnace, PEG-750/15x25
• Endothermic atmosphere generator, G-2000

Heat treatment processes in the roller hearth furnace system, ARE-100 and pit furnaces lines are proceeded fully automatic and controlled by integrated computer systems, which guarantees process continuity. This investment in heat treatment equipment fabricated and commissioned by ELTERMA allows on effective and repeatable heat-treating of bulky bearing rings with a diameter of up to 1500 mm.
